Jamin is the President of The Life Properties. Prior to The Life Properties, Jamin was the Executive Vice President and Partner at The Management Group (TMG) where he was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of TMG's portfolio of properties. Jamin has oversight experience across the full range of multifamily properties from ground up to value-add. Prior to TMG, Jamin was Vice President at Wesley Apartment Homes, and served as Vice President of Operations for 18 properties totaling 8,000 units. Previously, he worked with Fifteen Asset Management as Senior Vice President, overseeing 18,000 total units in 13 cities spanning nine states. Jamin has also worked with Equity Residential (REIT) as Southeast Marketing Director. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications and has a MBA from Kennesaw State University. He has completed post graduate work and holds CAM and CAPS designations from the National Apartment Association, and completed multiple OSHA Certifications. Jamin is also deeply committed to philanthropy and civic duty. He is an active mentor, educator and fundraiser with Junior Diabetes Research Foundation. He is President of the Duluth Cluster School Foundation, President of the Board of Directors for Professional Adoption and Family Services, Member of the Coleman School Council, Member of the Kaiser Executive Advisory Employment Council, Member of the Atlanta Apartment Association Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council. Jamin has been a Guest Lecturer at UGA and GA Tech multiple times, speaking on Premises Liability and Multifamily Technology and Analytics. A sought after speaker, Jamin speaks at multiple national industry conferences regularly. Jamin was elected in November 2021 to serve as a Duluth City Council Member (Duluth, GA) for a 4 year term.
Aaron leads and oversees multiple critical departments, including Marketing, Maintenance, Affordable Housing Compliance, and Risk Management. He collaborates closely with leadership to drive operational excellence and implement strategic initiatives that enhance Team Member satisfaction and the overall customer experience. Before The Life Properties, Aaron worked at Origin Investments, a top decile fund manager with $2B AUM. In his role, he drove performance on the Investment Management team’s multifamily portfolio. Additionally, he elected third-party managers and gleaned best practices while guiding the property-level business plans. His asset management role tapped into his 14 years of experience in finance, leasing & marketing, value-add construction management, property management technology, and training. Aaron has experienced the value integrated management provides, including at Steadfast Management Company, an owner and investor in over 40k units nationwide. He was able to capitalize on investments made in three REITs and ensure beneficial results. Additionally, he worked for the Atlanta-based owner-operated portfolio at Avila Real Estate and with Merion Realty Partners, which focused investment funds in the southeast and mid-Atlantic. Aaron studied Political Science and Economics at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He is a member of the Atlanta Apartment Association, a Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor, and Certified Apartment Manager. Aaron lives with his wife and two daughters in Alpharetta, GA. He is an avid outdoor hobbyist and ultramarathon runner.
In his role as Chief Construction Officer (CCO) Clay Boyer manages all aspects of construction and maintenance operations for The Life Properties portfolio. Clay brings over 25 years of industry experience, performing in leadership roles in various areas of multifamily housing to include conventional, military and single-family. Clay worked with MAA early in his career managing capital and maintenance operations as Regional Service Director for 15K units, managing approx. 11 mil in CAPEX projects annually. Recognized for outstanding achievements and departmental contributions, Clay moved into the AVP-Director of Maintenance Operations role for MAA based out of Memphis with oversite of 40K units. In a similar capacity, he worked with Bell Partners as a Regional Director throughout the Southeast, managing 35 conventional properties in Texas, Arkansas, and Florida, before moving into a rewarding position in military housing. Clay helped to renovate and manage 5K homes at Ft. Riley, KS., home of the Big Red One, for 6 years serving as Director of Capital, Maintenance and Purchasing before becoming Operations Director. Preceding his appointment to the CCO role for The Life Properties, Clay served as the department head of capital, maintenance, and renovations for Progress Residential based in Atlanta. Clay has a well-established track record of leadership in the industry and brings a wealth of knowledge and professionalism to the team!
As the Chief People Officer, Michele provides leadership and guidance to the Company’s People function. Acting as an expert on all people and organizational issues, she serves as facilitator for scaling and developing long-range talent management goals, driving cultural initiatives, advancing performance management, progressing rewards and recognition programs, and furthering engagement, retention, and recruiting efforts. Michele brings over 20 years of human resources management experience to Olive Tree/The Life Properties, having previously worked at Cohen & Steers leading their global human resources function and Allianz Global Investors where she led the human resources department and supported various subsidiaries. Ms. Nolty has a BS from Baruch College–The City University of New York (CUNY).
Welton McCrary is the Director of Property Management for The Life Properties. Welton brings 12 years of regional and property management experience to The Life with a diverse background in Affordable Housing, Conventional Multifamily, and Student Housing. Welton’s experience includes overseeing budget planning, cost management, training, asset stabilization, rehabs, and leading various property management teams across multiple states. Welton is a native to Alabama where he attended The University of Alabama in Huntsville and received a degree in Business Management.
Daphne Corbin joined The Life Properties in January 2019 with 10 years of comprehensive experience in the multifamily industry. As the Vice President of Marketing, she oversees and manages corporate and portfolio-wide marketing and branding initiatives to include brand concept development, implementation of marketing and advertising campaigns, website development, online reputation management, marketing training, and analysis of trends and customer needs. Prior to joining The Life Properties, she held the position of Regional Marketing Manager at RADCO Residential where she managed marketing efforts of over 25 properties and 15,000 units across Georgia, Oklahoma, Indiana and Tennessee. During her tenure at RADCO Residential, she played a vital role as she onboarded many properties—branding their communities from the ground up at the time of acquisition. Preceding RADCO Residential, Daphne began her career in property management as a Traveling Assistant Property Manager at Aspen Square Management. At Aspen Square, Daphne gained solid experience in on-site operations while working to assist in stabilizing both conventional and affordable housing start-up communities throughout 6 states around the country. Daphne is well versed in YARDI Voyager, RENTCafe Site Manager, RENTCafe CRM, KNOCK CRM, FUNNEL CRM, ILOVELEASING, and OneSite.
Reginald Scandrett serves as the VP of Security at The Life Properties. He gives oversight to all security measures and/or law enforcement concerns pertaining to The Life Properties. Prior to the Life Properties, Reginald B. Scandrett was Chief Deputy of the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. He was responsible for managing all the agency’s law enforcement operations, which included the DeKalb County Jail Division, Field Division, Court Division, Training Division, and Reserves Division. Prior to his promotion in August 2014, Former Chief Deputy Scandrett was Jail Division Commander for four years, heading the state’s largest adult pre-trial detention facility. The 3,800-bed capacity jail houses an average of 2,200 persons daily and processes more than 40,000 detainees each year. A career law enforcement officer, Former Chief Scandrett joined the Sheriff’s Office in 1990 as a Detention Officer and was promoted to positions of increasing responsibility over the past 25 years. Former Chief Deputy Scandrett graduated magna cum laude from St. Leo University with a degree in Criminal Justice. He is also a graduate of the Mercer University Public Safety Leadership Institute and the U.S. Department of Justice F.B.I. Defensive Tactics Instructor School. He retired from the position in June 2019.
LaSha Anthony serves as the Assistant Director of Property Management for The Life Properties, bringing over 18 years of industry experience. Her extensive background includes various operational and management roles serving Single-Family, Student, Conventional, LIHTC, and Senior Housing. LaSha's experience also includes multi-site management, property re-positioning, expense control, compliance monitoring, delinquency and occupancy control, asset improvement, and multiple property takeovers. LaSha holds multiple professional certificates including HCCP, C3P, SHCM, and is a Notary Public.
Rachel Palmer serves as the Director of Collections for The Life Properties, bringing over 20 years of experience in the multifamily industry. She discovered the multifamily industry after moving to Atlanta from New York and has been in love with the industry ever since! In her role, Rachel is responsible for overseeing the collection process for the portfolio and assisting the properties with increasing income. The collections department's primary focus is achieving overall revenue growth and meeting income budget expectations. Rachel has fostered collaborative relationships with the onsite teams, Accounting, and Systems departments to support our properties in completing their income goals. With her experience, she promotes collection best practices to optimize low delinquency and high revenue performance. She started her career as a Leasing Consultant and has held various onsite and corporate leadership positions, including Multisite Property Manager and Regional Manager. Rachel joined The Life Properties as a Regional Manager in 2021, supporting our Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky markets, and has transitioned into the role of Director of Collections.
Cadet Davis serves as the Director of Construction for the Life Properties. Cadet brings 20 years of progressive, multi-faceted, construction industry experience. In his role, Cadet directs the Regional Manager of Maintenance and Construction team, monitors and optimizes the flow of projects, and conducts efficient and practical management strategies to execute key renovations and capital projects across the portfolio. Before joining The Life Properties, Cadet oversaw a 13 million dollar single-family portfolio and large-loss fire restoration renovations of multifamily construction. Cadet attended Troy State University, earning a B.S. in Business Management and a second B.S. in Information Technology. Cadet is also a veteran, served honorably in United States Air Force, exhibiting sacrifice, leadership, and exceptional training capabilities.
Leetra Langston brings over 15 years of maintenance experience to The Life Properties. With a career that spans various positions, from Technician to Regional Manager of Maintenance and Construction, Leetra excels in setting and achieving maintenance goals, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental protection regulations. His expertise encompasses troubleshooting and training, and successful project implementation, including the Water Warriors Project and the Rainbow Report. Leetra's certifications, including Universal EPA, CPO, and HVAC Proctor, further validate his skills. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Leetra is a strong believer in peer-to-peer learning and the power of open-mindedness. He actively listens to different perspectives, respecting others' points of view and fostering a collaborative work environment. Outside of work, Leetra actively contributes to community organizations, such as Veronica Blount Memorial Foundation and the Dylan Scott Foundation, dedicated to health education, youth empowerment, and violence prevention, demonstrating his commitment to making a positive impact beyond the workplace.
Tracy “Tray” Marshall serves as the Director of Security at The Life Properties and oversees all security measures for the portfolio. Before The Life Properties, Tray was a Police Officer with the Pasadena Police Department, where he served for 24 years and was involved in serval different divisions, including his work on high-profile cases. He also served as an Investigator for the Gang Task Force as well as an Investigator for the Direct Action Response Team. Before retiring, Tray developed and implemented a new division at the Police Department named the Community Liaison Officer Division. This program was built to bridge the Home Owners Associations (HOA) closer with the Police Department to help reduce crime in their neighborhoods. In addition to holding several training certifications, Tray holds a Master Peace Officer License, the highest Police Officers license in the State of Texas. His achievements also include the Officer of the Month award, Unit Citation awards, the 2003 Johnny Klevenhagen Crime Stoppers award, as well as Officer of the year in 2005 from The American Legion.
Morgan joined The Life Properties as a Regional Manager and will oversee our communities in Arkansas and Missouri. He has over ten years of experience in many property management/real estate sectors and a proven track record with distressed assets. He has successfully managed many communities throughout the southern states. His experience includes Class A through Class D, Student, Luxury Residential, Section 8, Homeowners Association, Condominium Regime, Commercial Real Estate, and Real Estate Transactions. Morgan is a proud graduate of Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, is a Licensed Louisiana Realtor, and holds his CAM (Certified Apartment Manager) designation through the National Apartment Association. Morgan chose to join The Life Properties for several reasons. He truly feels that diversity and inclusion are seen and felt throughout the organization. He also knows that by putting People First, operating with Integrity by doing the right thing for our Residents and our Team Members, and embracing Radical Candor, he can affect change throughout his portfolio of properties.
Blake Coots serves as Regional Manager for The Life Properties, bringing over 14 years of experience in property management and 15 years in Real Estate. He currently oversees a diverse portfolio of assets in the Columbus and Indianapolis markets, focusing on revenue growth, expense reduction, and enhancing net operating income (NOI). Blake has worked with diverse property types, including Section 42 Multifamily, Section 42 Senior Housing, Project Based Section 8 Housing, and Conventional Communities. With a background in residential development, real estate, and construction management, Blake brings a comprehensive skill set to his role. Blake is a graduate of Indiana University, and his achievements include being recognized as Site Manager of the Year in 2009, Regional Manager of the Year in 2013, and receiving the Captain of the Year Leadership Award in 2018. Passionate about the people-oriented nature of property management, Blake finds fulfillment in helping individuals choose their ideal homes. His commitment to team building, employee retention, and cultivating a positive culture continues to impact the multifamily industry significantly. Beyond his professional endeavors, Blake is actively engaged in the community. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker, a member of MIBOR and the National Association of Realtors, and holds a CAPS Designation. Additionally, as a licensed General Contractor and member of the National Association of Home Builders, Blake brings valuable expertise to the construction aspects of property management.
Daniella Castillo is a seasoned property management professional with 18 years of experience. As the Regional Manager for four communities spanning Texas, Wisconsin, Kentucky, and North Carolina, she ensures their day-to-day operations run smoothly. Daniella's expertise lies in optimizing community performance and providing the necessary tools for success. Having worked as a multi-site Community Manager at Fairfield Residential and a Senior Community Manager at S2 Capital, Daniella has a proven track record of increasing revenue, maintaining compliance within low-income tax credit programs, and conducting on-site compliance reviews. Her extensive experience in lease-up support and monitoring various state, local, and federal programs, such as LIHTC, HOME, Section 236, RD, Section 811, and PBS8, sets her apart. Passionate about social work, Daniella finds fulfillment in serving others and positively impacting communities, especially those facing high poverty. Beyond her professional responsibilities, she actively supports women's empowerment, equality, children's rights, and pet rights. With her impressive accomplishments, leadership skills, and commitment to community development, Daniella Castillo continues to be a driving force in the property management industry.
Leslie Buckhorn brings over 20 years of experience in the multifamily space to The Life Properties. She is a seasoned Regional Manager overseeing our Indianapolis-based communities. With a strong focus on team building, her priorities are hiring and motivating high-performance teams to maximize budget control and achieve NOI objectives. Leslie has worked with diverse property types, including Tax Credit Communities, Rural Development Communities, Section 8 Housing, Senior Communities, and Conventional Communities. She believes in investing in her team's potential, recognizing that their growth is crucial for the success of the community and region. Leslie has a track record of notable achievements, including securing her company's first AAI Prodigy Awards in 2004 and earning the CAPS designation from the National Apartment Association (NAA) in 2006. She has successfully leased up seven communities, meeting all financial objectives and completing the Debt Coverage Ratio test period. Leslie's dedication to providing quality housing and exceptional customer experiences is evident in her passion for the industry and commitment to creating a welcoming environment. Outside of work, Leslie actively contributes to the Indiana Apartment Association, being selected for the SAL leadership program and contributing to Habitat for Humanity.
